Camp Doikayt, Chicago’s own Anti-Zionist summer camp, is in progress and nearly ready to kick off with our first ever family camp weekend from September 4-6 2026! Registration will be launching the week of June 22, 2026.

We will be hosting several Chicago area events to build community, have fun, and raise funds for the camp. Join us for our first event EVER on Sunday 7/12 from 5-8PM @ Life on Marz located @ 1950 N Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60647

Food + drinks are included in the ticket price. Big thanks to Life on MARZ for their generous donation of space and drinks!

In case this is the first you’re hearing about Camp Doikayt, here’s a brief background:

When we were getting ready to send our kids to Jewish summer camp, we looked around and realized that all of them were, to varying degrees, promoting a Zionist perspective + Israeli nationalism. Pretty quickly we realized that if our kids were going to attend an Anti-Zionist Jewish Summer Camp, we were going to have to make a camp grounded in Doikayt: “Hereness”, and celebration of Diasporic Judaism. And so that’s what we’re doing, and our first family camp experience will be held this Labor Day Weekend, on Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

The proceeds of this gathering will allow us to offer a place at camp to any family that wants to attend, regardless of whether they’re able to pay. We don’t want to turn anyone away for lack of funds. Secondly, we do not want to ask the camp directors, rabbis, musicians, cooks, and artists that make camp run, to work for free. Those people deserve to be compensated for their skilled and important labor and we want to treat them well. Fundraising will enable us to take good care of workers and still keep the price of attendance flexible. We are proud to share that Camp Doikayt, LTD. is a newly registered not-for-profit organization and donations are tax deductible.

Click the button to buy tickets (choose from a sliding scale of prices based on what feels comfortable for you to contribute) and join us on July 11!

If you can’t make it, you can also help out by choosing to make a tax deductible donation.
Truly any amount makes a difference!
